CHOIR MISTRESS RUTH KACHITSEKO IS LAID TO REST

 

Today, friends, family, and fellow choir members gathered to bid a final farewell to Ruth Kachitseko, the devoted choir mistress of Mvama CCAP Sisters Choir. The burial took place in Area 18, Lilongwe, the capital city of Malawi.

Ruth, who was 58 years old, sadly passed away due to complications from high blood pressure. Her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched through her music. 

The burial ceremony was a celebration of Ruth's life, with several choirs in attendance to pay their respects. Notable personalities such as Evance Meleka and Kondwani Chirwa were also present to honor their friend and colleague.

Ruth, a native of Mpemba, Blantyre, leaves behind a loving husband, three children, and five grandchildren. Her famous songs are "chombo cha nowa" and "ndife alendo".
